We live in interesting times. February is Black History Month! And the longstanding argument on the need for Black History continues to burn the airwaves.
'Tis true, there is a lot of Black history that is yet to be recovered from the dustbins of history... but what concerns me more is who is writing the history of tomorrow. What is the FUTURE of Black History?
This year's series engages a diverse cross section of Black thought leaders to explore the question... The Future of America: Black America 2030 and Beyond. What is the future of the American Dream? What happens to a Dream Deferred? How does Black America advance a paradigm shift on inequality and opportunity.
As we canvas the voices of Black America, we hope to meet a key goal of The Futures Forum -- the promotion of diversity in the ongoing dialogue about our common future.... for beyond Wakanda there is the imaginable future and we co-create it.
Join us in this exploration of the landscape and byways of our shared future.
